Science Without Borders: New Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme for Japanese Researchers
The Research Council of Lithuania (RCL) and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) are launching a new form of partnership and invite Japanese researchers to undertake postdoctoral fellowships in Lithuania. Applications are open until 5 September 2025.
An annex to the cooperation memorandum, signed on 12 June 2025, expands the prospects for bilateral collaboration between researchers by enabling an exchange programme for postdoctoral fellows.
Researchers from all scientific fields are eligible to apply. Applicants must be Japanese citizens or permanent residents of Japan, hold or soon obtain a doctoral degree, and meet the specified research requirements.
Under this call, funding is available for one Japanese researcher to undertake a fellowship at a Lithuanian research and higher education institution.
The RCL will cover international travel, living expenses, accommodation, and travel costs within Lithuania.
