Baltic NCP Meeting Focuses on the Future of Horizon Europe and Cooperation
The annual meeting of Horizon Europe National Contact Points (NCPs) from Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia took place in Klaipėda.
The meeting focused on developing common Baltic positions in preparation for the 10th EU Framework Programme for Research and Innovation, cooperation with experts, the use of proposal evaluation results to improve NCP services, and opportunities to increase the number of Horizon Europe projects coordinated by Baltic countries. Particular attention was given to supporting new project coordinators and developing joint Baltic initiatives.
“Cooperation among the Baltic countries within Horizon Europe is important not only for strengthening each country’s capacities, but also for advancing our shared interests. As relatively small countries, by exchanging experience, solutions and lessons on what has and has not worked, we can learn from one another more quickly, better respond to the needs of researchers and innovators, and work together to increase Baltic participation and coordination in European research and innovation programmes,” said Daumantas Kerežis, Senior Adviser at the Technology and Innovation Division of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport.
These annual meetings help maintain continuous dialogue among Baltic NCPs and provide an opportunity to jointly identify solutions to current issues related to Horizon Europe.
