Call for Applications for Eureka Network R&D Projects in Lightweighting Technologies
The Research Council of Lithuania (RCL) has launched a call for applications for Eureka Network R&D projects in the field of lightweighting technologies. The call aims to promote market-oriented R&D projects carried out jointly by academia and industry in collaboration with international partners.
Funding is available to applicants who have submitted an international proposal under the Transnational Eureka Lightweighting Call – 2026, in accordance with the conditions of the international call. A single international application must be submitted on behalf of the consortium via the Eureka SmartSimple platform.
The consortium must consist of at least two independent legal entities from a minimum of two Eureka countries participating in the call. No single country or project participant may receive more than 70% of the total project budget.
Up to EUR 600,000 has been allocated to the call, with a maximum funding amount of EUR 300,000 available for the Lithuanian part of each project.
The call supports innovative R&D projects in the field of lightweighting technologies, including advanced lightweight structures, novel materials, sustainable manufacturing solutions, circular economy approaches, the application of digital technologies, machine learning, and other advanced technological solutions.
Eligible international partners may come from Austria, Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), Estonia, Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, and Türkiye.
National applications must be submitted in Lithuanian by email to [email protected] no later than 8 October 2026, 17:00 (Lithuanian time).
