Invitation to the Event on Advancing Open Science and Collaboration Opportunities
Research Council of Lithuania (RCL) invites you to participate in the hybrid event “Advancing Open Science: The Barcelona Declaration and Open Research Information“, which will take place on 6 December 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Mykolas Romeris University, 55 Didlaukio St., Vilnius, Lithuania.
The event will discuss the most important developments in open science and research information in Europe and Lithuania. The keynote speaker, Prof. Ludo Waltman (Leiden University, The Netherlands), will present the Barcelona Declaration, a document highlighting the importance of open access to research information. Recent Lithuanian open access policy priorities and their impact on the national research ecosystem will also be presented.
Representatives from the university alliances Arqus, Transform4Europe and ERUA will participate in the event and share their experiences and practical solutions in promoting open science. Discussions will explore how to make the process of sharing scientific information more efficient, including new tools such as the Research Organization Registry (ROR).
