Call for Applications: Support for Institutions Employing Researchers from Ukraine
The Research Council of Lithuania (RCL) has announced a call for applications for funding to Lithuanian research and higher education institutions employing researchers from Ukraine. The aim of the call is to create conditions for Ukrainian researchers as well as doctoral candidates in science and the arts to continue their research activities in Lithuania by providing financial support for their employment and compensation of salary-related costs.
Applications may be submitted by Lithuanian research and higher education institutions registered in the Register of Education and Research Institutions.
The funding is intended to compensate salary costs, as well as related social security and other mandatory contributions, of researchers from Ukraine employed at Lithuanian research and higher education institutions (holders of a doctoral degree and doctoral candidates in science and the arts) who are engaged in research activities.
The eligible funding period is from 2 January 2026 to 31 December 2026. The funding intensity is 80%.
A total of EUR 800,000 is planned to be allocated for this support in 2026.

For this call, administrative eligibility checks, formation of expert panels, expert evaluation, submission and examination of appeals, re-evaluation, application revisions, and contract signing procedures are not applicable.
