Call for Proposals: Lithuania–Poland Research Projects "DAINA 4"
Research Council of Lithuania (RCL), together with the Narodowe Centrum Nauki (NCN), announces a call for proposals for the Lithuania-Poland research project programme "DAINA 4". Research teams may submit applications for joint fundamental research projects until 15 September 2026. Lithuanian partners may receive funding of up to EUR 200,000 per project.
The programme is designed to promote cooperation between Lithuanian and Polish researchers in conducting fundamental research. Researchers from all scientific fields are eligible to apply. Projects will be implemented by joint teams from Lithuanian and Polish partner institutions.
Duration of funded projects is 36 months. Projects are expected to start in July–August 2027 and be completed by June–July 2030. Research Council of Lithuania funds only the costs incurred by Lithuanian institutions and their project implementers.
The programme also encourages the participation of early-career researchers. Eligible activities include research, dissemination of research results, and other related activities, including visits to partner institutions and invited lectures.
Polish partners must submit the application and all required annexes to the NCN by 22 September 2026 at 14:00 CET.
An online information event will be held on 23 June 2026 at 10:00 a.m. via MS Teams to present the "DAINA 4" call and answer questions from prospective applicants.
