International Competence Centers project is launching activities and announce researchers‘ recruitment
Partners in the project "Establishment of International Competence Centers" coordinated by the Research Council of Lithuania – the Lithuanian higher education and research institutions – are launching the recruitment of leading researchers for the newly established competence centers.
Seeking to achieve breakthroughs in selected scientific fields, the competence centers are opening up opportunities for motivated, ambitious researchers from Lithuania and abroad to join their teams by announcing open researcher recruitment processes. The competence centers will create conditions for the development of defined fields, taking into account the specific scientific interests and competencies of the selected researchers.
LMT representatives participate in the selection process, helping to ensure its transparency and quality.
Currently, calls for researchers is being announced in three of the five competence centers. More detailed information about the call conditions and application submission can be found here:
- ComARC - Competence Centre for Autonomous, Remoutly Operated and Connected Systems (Vilnius Tech and Kaunas University of Technology);
- MiRI - Institute of Microbiome Research (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences and LSMU hospital Kauno klinikos);
- Semiconductors CoC - Centre for Terahertz and Hybrid Semiconductor Chips (calls at Vilnius University and the Center for Physical Sciences and Technology);
- PhenoPlant Competence Centre for Plant Phenotyping for Healthy Food and Sustainable Agrobiological Resources (established by Lithuanian Research Centre for Agriculture and Forestry; Vytautas Magnus University) - information with an active link will be uploaded upon announcement of the call for applications for this centre;
- CADM – Centre for Advanced Disease Modelling (established by Vilnius University; Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos) - information with an active link will be uploaded upon announcement of the call for applications for this centre.
The project activities aim to strengthen Lithuania's scientific and innovation potential and promote international cooperation in the field of research and experimental development (R&D).
